Information for Students
The Alabama Academy of Science Committee on Research administers grants and awards programs for students. There are three programs:
Paper/Poster Competition Awards, Travel Awards, and Research Grants
Paper/Poster Competition Awards
Student members may enter their paper and/or poster in the Paper/Poster Competition Awards. Entries must conform to eligibility requirements. The author(s) of the winning paper or poster in each section will receive appropriate recognition. Winners will be announced. Please link to the competition requirements.
To enter the competition, check the appropriate box on the on-line Title Submission form and complete that form available here.
Limited travel grants will be available to student members who otherwise would not be able to attend the Annual Meeting of the Academy. Priority will be given to applications submitted by students who will present a paper and/or poster at the Annual Meeting.
To apply for a travel award, check the appropriate box on the on-line Title Submission form and complete that form available here. NOTE: All travel award checks must be picked up from the registration table at the meeting.
